The much-anticipated iOS 16 was announced at Apple’s WWDC developer conference. The new operating system includes numerous enhancements such as lock screen widgets, live activities, iCloud Photo Sharing, and much more. Apple will no longer strut several older iPhones with iOS 16. iPhones are more aged than the iPhone 8 and will not receive any new features.
iOS 16 Enhancements and New Features
This new iOS 16 update includes several improvements and changes.
Widget-Enabled Lock Screen
iOS 16 will now let you add customizable lock screen widgets such as animated lock screen images and valuable features. The Notifications / Now Playing device has been relocate to the lock screen’s bottom. There is also a ‘Live Activities’ feature for sports, food delivery tracking, and other activities.
Focus Enhancement
Focus has been attach to the Lock Screen, allowing you to associate a lock screen wallpaper and widgets with a specific Focus.
Messages Improvement
With iOS 16, Apple added three of the most requested features. It includes the ability to ‘edit/undo’ sent messages, mark threads as unread, and use SharePlay.
Mail Improvement
Apple updated Mail with a few new features. For example, you can schedule emails and cancel message delivery anytime before it reaches the recipient.
Siri can now hang-up calls and install apps.
When an app is download, Siri can run shortcuts without any setup. You can also use Siri to hang up calls and FaceTime hands-free by saying, “Hey Siri, hang up.”
iCloud Photo Library Shared
The iCloud Shared Photo Library feature has been add, allowing family members to share photos with a separate iCloud library with up to six users. Existing images from personal libraries can also be share.
