Is Vaani Kapoor’s play has signed a social-comedy film, Sarvagunn Sampanna, for Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, according to the news. Vaani will play a porn star look-alike in the women-centric movie set in the 1990s. “Dinesh Vijan is producing a high-concept, progressive film about a small-town girl who resembles a popular porn star.”

It’s a unique project highlighting an important message while entertaining the audience with its amusing storyline. “Vaani plays a strong, bold, dignified woman fighting for her integrity, exposing the poor mentality of the Indian patriarchal society all along,” a news source said.

Shonali Rattan, the wife of filmmaker Kunal Deshmukh, makes her directorial debut with Sarvagunn Sampanna. Shonali has previously worked with her husband on films such as Jannat, Tum Mile, Raja Natwarlal, and Shiddat, and she has most recently worked on Goldie Behl’s Zee5 series, Mithya. She has already begun pre-production on the film, which will start shooting in a few months. Vaani Kapoor’s first solo-led film since her Bollywood debut in 2013 also marks a new beginning. The actress is ecstatic to embark on this new adventure and has reportedly begun preparing to become her character.

Meanwhile, Vaani Kapoor’s long-awaited period action drama Shamshera will be release on July 22.
