According to the report, Jayalalithaa and Sasikala had no cordial relationship after 2012.

In its final remarks, the Justice A Arumughaswamy Commission of Inquiry. Which investigate the circumstances leading to the death of former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa in 2016, state that her aide VK Sasikala “have to be found fault with, also an investigation is to be ordered.”

The Tamil Nadu government tabled the reports of separate commissions of inquiry into the circumstances. Surrounding Jayalalithaa’s death also Tuesday’s 2018 police shooting in Thoothukudi in the state assembly. Along with Sasikala, the panel has named others.

The Justice Aruna Jagadeesan Commission of Inquiry, which investigated the 2018 police firing on anti-Sterlite protesters in Thoothukudi. Which claimed 13 lives, has blamed the police authorities.

Previously, on August 27, the commission delivered its report to chief minister MK Stalin. Detailing the circumstances surrounding the former All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) supremo’s hospitalization.

The report recommended that the DMK-led government investigate Sasikala. Former chief secretary Rama Mohana Rao, former health minister C Vijayabaskar, and a few others. The state cabinet discussed the 600-page report and decided to consult legal experts about the recommendations.

The DMK promised to “uncover the truth” about Jayalalithaa’s death in its election manifesto.

Jayalalithaa was admit to Apollo Hospitals in Chennai on September 22, 2016, and remaine there for 75 days before passing away on December 5, 2016.

However, AIIMS’ three-page report delves deeper into a series of events discovered by the panel. Deailing the treatment she received before her admission and up until her death.

On November 30, 2021, the Supreme Court granted Apollo Hospital’s request. That the AIIMS form a medical board to assist the Arumughaswamy commission.

The Arumughaswamy commission’s tenure, establish in 2017, has been extend until August 24.

On August 20, the AIIMS medical board concluded that Jayalalithaa received proper medical treatment and that there were no errors in her care.
