Jyotiraditya Scindia says “talent finds little credence in Congress”, amid Ashok Gehlot-Sachin Pilot rift.

Scindia expressed his sadness on Sachin Pilot being sidelined and persecuted by the Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot.

After reports emerged on Sunday of a widening rift between Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and his deputy Sachin PilotJyotiraditya Scindia, BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP from Madhya Pradesh fired shots at his erstwhile party and said talent and capability have little importance in the Congress party. Amid political rumblings in Rajasthan, Scindia also expressed empathy for Sachin Pilot who he believes is being sidelined and persecuted by the Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot.

Scindia empathizes with Sachin Pilot’s plight:

Playing a big part in the collapse of the Congress government in Madhya Pradesh, Scindia had left the Sonia Gandhi led party to join the BJP earlier this year. On Sunday, the Member of Parliament from MP in a tweet said, “Sad to see my erstwhile colleague, Sachin Pilot too, being sidelined and persecuted by Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot. Shows that talent and capability find little credence in Congress.”

The state police arrested two members of BJP:

On Saturday, Ashok Gehlot claimed that the BJP was trying to topple his Rajasthan government which sparked a political turmoil within the party in the state. The state police arrested two members of the BJP for allegedly attempting to buy Congress and Independent lawmakers with offers of money. The police mentioned in the FIR that phone taps had shown that the “Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister are fighting”, and that the Deputy CM claimed to become the state’s CM soon.

Congress leaders compare the situation with that of Madhya Pradesh:

Some Congress leaders compared Rajasthan’s situation to that of Madhya Pradesh where it saw its government being toppled due to BJP’s relentless attempts by buying out its MLAs. The Congress leadership is alarmed and Sachin Pilot remains “incommunicado”.
