The documentary Kaun Pravin Tambe tells the true story of cricketer Pravin Tambe, who made his IPL debut at 41.

Shreyas Talpade returns as cricketer Pravin Tambe, who silenced several critics by shining on the field in his 40s. The film’s trailer was released on Thursday, and it introduced Shreyas. As an aspiring cricketer who is only concerned with the game, a job, and marriage coming later. However, his fortunes do not appear to be on his side as he struggles to get a chance to play in the Ranji Trophy tournament and then for Team India.

The trailer for Kaun Pravin Tambe? forms with a cameo by former cricketer Rahul Dravid, speaking about Pravin Tambe at an event. “My favorite story to tell is about Pravin Tambe…” Next, Shreyas is introduced as Pravin, who travels on a local train in Mumbai and gets a lecture from his mother regarding how his elder brother is an engineer who can take care of the household.

However, Shreyas’ Pravin only dreams of cricket and states unequivocally. That he would only work for a company that participates in cricket tournaments. He even refuses to marry but agrees to meet the girl he falls in love with at first sight and marries.

The trailer also shows how his married life suffers as he struggles to play cricket while also looking for work. As he garners some attention, cricket experts begin to question his age. “Main age wages me Vishwas nahi rakhta hu (I don’t believe in such things),” he says in one scene. Pravin Tambe, 41, made his debut for the Rajasthan Royals.

It also features pivotal performances by Ashish Vidyarthi, Parambrata Chatterjee, and Anjali Patil. Kaun Pravin Tambe?, directed by Jayprad Desai, will be available on Disney+ Hotstar on April 1 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
