Lufthansa flight passengers were asked to delete turbulence images and clips

Insiders said that the crew of a Lufthansa flight with a destination in Germany instructed the passengers on board to delete all photos and videos they had taken of the incident on March 1 while the aircraft was travelling over Tennessee, US.

One of the seven injured passengers, Rolanda Schmidt, told Insider that the plane had a significant drop, which caused food and other belongings to fly about the cabin.

Schmidt claimed that during the first significant descent, she hit her head on the plastic tray table case on the seat in front of her. She claimed that as soon as the jet stabilised and began to climb swiftly, she leapt out of her seat and struck her head once more against the ceiling.

She claimed that a flight attendant instructed passengers to “delete all your images and videos” as the aircraft descended to Dulles International Airport for an emergency landing.

According to Schmidt, the same flight attendant repeated the same instructions about five minutes later. Still, this time she seemed to be emphasising that it was to safeguard the privacy of other passengers.

According to officials, seven passengers on board a Lufthansa flight that experienced turbulence on March 1 were sent to nearby hospitals due to the aeroplane being diverted to Washington Dulles International Airport.
