The Manipur Violence has become a huge issue in the country. Several people are asking the government to take some action, As PM Modi reacts to the issue. 

The accused of women harassed video:

The main accused, who stripped Kuki women naked and showed them, was arrested after a clip of the two-month-old offence went viral, causing a national outcry. 

N Biren Singh, the chief minister of Manipur, stated that a thorough probe is ongoing and that strong action will be taken against all criminals, including those who might face capital punishment.

Amid national outrage and the opposition placing pressure on PM Modi to speak out, PM Modi vowed action and expressed his heartfelt sorrow and pain.

Following the initial arrest, which occurred only after the video of the crime went viral, N Biren Singh stated that the capital penalty would be considered for the culprits. 

“Let it be known, there is no place for such heinous acts in our society,” the chief minister tweeted as calls for his resignation became stronger.

CM states in his Tweet:

“My heart goes out to the two women subjected to a deeply disrespectful and inhumane act, as shown in the distressing video that surfaced yesterday.” 

The Manipur Police jumped into action quickly after the video aired, taking Suo-moto notice of the event and making the first arrest this morning. 

A thorough investigation is underway, and we will take stern measures against all criminals, including the potential capital penalty. “Let it be known that such heinous acts have no place in our society,” the chief minister tweeted.

PM Modi on Manipur Violence:

PM Modi cited Manipur in his speech ahead of the Parliament’s Monsoon Session, saying his heart is full of sorrow and anger. 

Modi promised that the crime is a disgrace for India’s 140 million citizens, and no perpetrator will be spared in any part of the country.

Also, the Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar reacted to the situation and expressed his anger on the situation. As the actor states, Shaken disgusted to see the video of violence against women in Manipur. I hope the culprits get such a harsh punishment that no one ever thinks of doing a horrifying thing like this again.
