As per the (CAAN) Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, at 10:33 am, the 9N-ANC ATR-72 of Yeti Airlines departed Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.

According to local media, the plane crashed while landing on the bank of the Seti river, located between the old and new airports.

According to Kaski district chief district officer Tek Bahadur KC, the plane crashed into the gorge of the Seti river.

Following the crash, Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also known as “Prachanda,” called a special meeting of the Council of Ministers.

The Home Ministry, security personnel, and all other government agencies were ordered to conduct immediate rescue and relief efforts. He also expressed his sadness over the crash.

The 22 people aboard a Tara Air plane that crashed in Nepal’s Mustang district on May 29 last year were all killed in the country’s most recent fatal air crash.
