Grace O’Malley Kumar and Barnaby Webber were two skilful young athletes who lost their lives in the horror and mess of the Nottingham invasions.

Nineteen-year-old Grace was a member of the England U16 and U18 hockey teams and played for Southgate Hockey Club and Woodford Wells Cricket Club in London. Her squadmates said she was “fun, friendly and brilliant”.

Barnaby, 19, was an “important member” of Bishops Hull Cricket Club and had been nominated for his university squad. His family stated he was a “beautiful, brilliant, bright young man.”

Tributes have been running in for the University of Nottingham members.

Barnaby was from Taunton, Somerset. His mom, dad, David and Emma Webber, and younger sibling, Charlie, said he was “at the start of his journey into adulthood and was developing into a wonderful young man”.

“Complete devastation is not enough to describe our pain and loss at the senseless murder of our son,” they expressed. “Barnaby Philip John Webber was a beautiful, brilliant, bright young man with everything to look forward to.”

“A talented and passionate cricketer who was over the moon to have made the selection to his university cricket team.” “As parents, we are enormously proud of everything he achieved and all the plans he had made.”
