An entrepreneur in Amravati, Maharashtra, has developed a unique experiment to take this popularity one step further. He has built an air restaurant called ‘Gokuldham Palace.’
The specialty of this restaurant is that it is a replica of the ‘Gokuldham Society’ of ‘Taraq Mehta’ serial. Buildings like it, gates, balconies, color schemes, everything is like a serial. Not only that, in the serial where different characters are housed, they have also put life-size cutouts of the characters on the balcony.
To give a serial-like look, perfection has been maintained to the extent that the bricks laid in the Society’s courtyard and the rangoli made in the middle are similar to the Adal serial.

The recently opened restaurant is located on Morshi Road, 25 km from Amravati. Being on the highway, the restaurant immediately catches the eye of everyone passing by.
The cutouts of Jethalal and Dayaben greet the people at the gate inscribed ‘Gokuldham.’ Then a large courtyard similar to the serial and a separate wing of the residents of Gokuldham Society has been built around it.

However, there is debate among experts as to whether the use of pictures, names, locations, etc., of the characters in the popular serial for commercial purposes is a matter of copyright infringement. The serial makers have not yet commented on this theme restaurant issue.
