Unlock 3.0 guidelines revoked the night curfew;
India’s Coronavirus tally increases to 1,583,792.
On Thursday, India’s daily COVID-19 cases surged to breach the 50,000-mark,
registering its biggest single-day rise with 52,123 infections. This takes the
total coronavirus cases in the country to 1,583,792. For a sixth
consecutive day, the nation witnessed caseload more than 47,000-mark. The death
toll in the country due to the coronavirus has reached 34,968 from yesterday’s
figure of 34,193, as per the data released by the Ministry of Health and Family
Welfare.
Unlock 3.0 guidelines permit
gyms and yoga institutes to function:
The central government issued fresh guidelines for Unlock 3.0 on Wednesday night and lifted certain restrictions, in a bid to boost the economy and resume normalcy in the country. The centre revoked night curfew, and allowed gymnasiums and yoga institutes to function from August 5, and continued the ban on all other activities which were prohibited in the previous guidelines.
Schools, Cinemas, and
gatherings prohibited in Unlock 3.0:
Metro rail, cinemas, theatres.
Bars, auditoriums, swimming pools, entertainment parks, assembly halls, and
similar places will remain prohibited in the Unlock 3.0. As per the guidelines
issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, schools, colleges, too will remain shut
till August 31st. Political, social, entertainment, sports, academic, cultural,
religious gatherings along with other large congregations will also not be
permitted.
Maharashtra’s COVID-19 tally
breaches the 4-lakh mark:
States have begun giving their
own set of guidelines for August and Maharashtra remained the most affected
coronavirus state in India. The state’s tally crossed the 4-lakh mark with
fresh 9211 infections reported in the last 24 hours. Chief Minister Uddhav
Thackeray extended
the lockdown in the state till 31st August with giving malls, the permission to
reopen in limited timings.
