Varun Gandhi, Goyal Praise PM Modi as India’s True Guardian

Former BJP MP Varun Gandhi met Prime Minister Narendra Modi this week alongside his family, seeking his blessings and guidance. Sharing pictures of the interaction on X, Gandhi expressed deep admiration, writing that there is a “wonderful paternal affection” in the Prime Minister’s presence. He called Modi the true guardian of the nation and its people, crediting the meeting with strengthening his belief in the Prime Minister’s leadership.

A Mentor Who Never Raises His Voice

Union Minister Piyush Goyal offered a vivid portrait of working under Modi at the Global Economic Cooperation Summit in Mumbai. He described the Prime Minister as a great listener with unwavering concentration, someone who hand-holds his team like a caring parent. According to Goyal, Modi has never scolded anyone during his years as Prime Minister, never raises his voice, and consistently encourages lateral thinking among his colleagues. “He is truly a person who carries his team with him,” Goyal said, adding that Modi helps his ministers connect the dots and is always responsive.

India’s Vision of a USD 35 Trillion Economy

Goyal also outlined India’s broader economic ambitions, stating that the country is working toward becoming a USD 30–35 trillion economy by 2047. He stressed that economic diplomacy today rests on trust, trade expansion, and attracting world-class technology and investment. India’s recent record of concluding nearly eight to nine trade agreements — some stalled for two decades — reflects this momentum. Goyal summed up his approach in one word: trust, noting that mutual confidence between negotiating parties makes every trade pathway significantly easier.
