PM Modi pays tribute to Keshubhai Patel and launches ‘Arogya Van’ in Gujarat.

On Friday, as he started his two-day official visit to his home state of Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ‘Arogya Van’ in Kevadia, Narmada district.

A host of initiatives, including a seaplane service between Kevadia and Ahmedabad, are to be initiated during the tour and a tour to the Statue of Unity is expected.

PM on ‘Arogya Van’ tour:

A tour of ‘Arogya Van’ was taken by the Prime Minister, which has hundreds of medicinal herbs and plants and also includes information on their use and significance.

 Also present were Chief Minister Vijay Rupani of Gujarat and Governor Acharya Devvrat.

According to the official release, the forest is spread over an area of about 17 acres and has five lakh plants out of 380 selected species.

Things in Arogya Van:

It also includes a lotus pond, alba garden, fragrance garden, yoga, and meditation garden, indoor plant area, digital knowledge center, souvenir shop, and, among other items, a cafeteria serving Ayurveda foods. Ekta Mall and Children’s Nutrition Park in Kevadia was also inaugurated by PM Modi.

 

PM Modi to meet Keshubhai’s Family:

PM Modi, who reached in the morning, started his journey to Gujarat by meeting in Gandhinagar with relatives of the late Gujarat Chief Minister, Keshubhai Patel. On Thursday, Patel, 92, a BJP stalwart, died. 

PM Modi expressed his sympathy to the family during the meeting and recalled his long association with the senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP).

The PTI news agency quoted a family member as saying, “Modiji remembered his long association with Keshubhai and asked us about his last moments.”

He also gave tributes to the Mahesh and Naresh Kanodia brothers, who had recently died.

Inauguration of Sardar Patel’s Zoological Park:

The Sardar Patel Zoological Park in Kevadia is also scheduled to open during the day, on the day before the 145th anniversary of the first home minister, of the country Vallabhbhai Patel.

He will also reveal the website of the Statue of Unity in all the official languages of the United Nations and the Kevadia app at the Unity Glow Garden.

The Prime Minister is also registered to visit his mother, Hiraba, who lives with his younger brother, Pankaj Modi, on the outskirts of Gandhinagar District.
