The campaign will take place on all days from 9 am to 5 pm, except those devoted to the regular immunization program. During the first day of the campaign, a record 300,000 health care workers throughout the country are expected to get vaccinated as well as many as 3,006 vaccination centres have been identified nationwide for the day.

The Centre will fully finance the first two classes of individuals getting vaccinated, the healthcare including frontline staff. The drive will be conducted at different public health care facilities in rural as well as urban India for these classes.

“According to Vijay Rupani, Chief Minister of Gujarat, who also joined the meeting “PM made it very clear that the vaccine would be provided to frontline health workers during the first stage, to police personnel, sanitation workers, etc. in the second phase; to those over 50 years of age in the third phase; and to those with co-morbid conditions in the fourth stage.
