Science, the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) state office received a threat letter against the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi; The Kerala state has been put on high alert.
The letter, which included the sender’s identity and other information, threatened a suicide strike during Modi’s April 24 visit to Kochi.
Police have identified the man listed in the letter, but he has denied involvement, claiming that his name was used to frame him by his opponents. However, security measures have been increased, and central investigation agencies have sought new information.
Meanwhile, the media received a letter from the Additional Director General of Police explaining security drills. The letter from the ADGP also mentioned many other major threat perceptions, including one from the banned Popular Front of India (PFI).
M Muraleedharan, Minister of State for External Affairs from Kerala, expressed alarm about the leak, calling it a significant lapse by the state police.
According to BJP state chief K. Surendran, all scheduled functions would go into place.
Modi is set to arrive in Kochi on April 24 as well as Thiruvananthapuram the next day to inaugurate the state’s first Vande Bharat Express.
Surendran has previously stated that the Prime Minister would undertake a roadshow and address a public meeting during his visit.
“The Prime Minister’s visit to Kerala will provide impetus to the state’s development.” Kerala residents have high hopes for this visit. PM Narendra Modi will go on a roadshow. People will voluntarily come to greet him.
The ‘Yuvam’ meeting will signal the beginning of Kerala’s political transformation. “The youth who want Kerala to develop beyond party politics will participate in this,” he stated at a press conference.
