Industry’s One-Sided Support Hurt Aishwarya Most

Kakkar disclosed that what truly devastated Aishwarya wasn’t the end of her relationship, but the industry’s collective decision to side with Salman Khan. “I was just supporting her. She said, ‘But the industry…’ What truly pained her was that everyone seemed to side with Salman. It wasn’t about heartbreak—it was about betrayal,” the filmmaker revealed.

The relationship had already deteriorated before becoming public knowledge. Living in the same building as the couple, Kakkar witnessed Salman’s volatile behavior firsthand. “Salman would create a scene in the foyer, even bang his head against the wall. He was very physical and passionate. The relationship was over long before it ended publicly,” he recalled.

According to Kakkar, the eventual split came as a relief not only to Aishwarya but also to her family and close associates who had witnessed the turbulent dynamics. The filmmaker emphasized that Aishwarya’s primary source of anguish stemmed from losing faith in an industry she had trusted.

“She wasn’t upset with the breakup. She was upset because the industry didn’t stand by her. The treatment was completely one-sided. That’s why she felt betrayed,” Kakkar concluded, highlighting how professional relationships in Bollywood often reflect personal allegiances rather than fairness.
