Journalist Lalit Kumar Jha shared a video on Twitter of how he had been abused and attacked by Pro-Khalistani supporters while covering their protest. Lalit Kumar Jha is the chief US correspondent of the news agency Press Trust of India.

As Lalit Kumar Jha stated in his Tweet, Thank you 

@SecretService 4 my protection 2day 4 helping do my job, otherwise I would have been writing this from hospital. The gentleman below hit my left ear with these 2 sticks & earlier, I had to call 9/11 & rushed 2 police van 4 safety fearing physical assault.

In the video, we can see a Pro-Khalistani abusing the Indian Government as well as PM narendra Modi. As one of the protesters says, “You report to the Indian government.” Where on the other side, another protester says, “Tell him that there’s a fascist government. And later, he was seen abusing the PM and the Indian Government. 

Later the journalist Lalit Kumar Jha stated to ANI that he called 911 and later then spotted Secret Service officers and told them what was happening to them. “The protestors in support of Amritpal Singh demonstrated in front of the embassy and menaced Indian ambassador Taranjit Singh Sandhu. They openly threatened to damage the embassy,” Lalit k Jha stated to ANI.

San Francisco’s Indian Consulate was attacked on March 20 after the Punjab Police launched a huge crackdown on Waris Punjab De and also its head Amritpal Singh. The US blamed the attack and pledged to ensure the security and safety of the diplomats in the US.
