Rahul Gandhi alleges that caste
violence and rape is peaking in Uttar Pradesh:
Former Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi took to his Twitter to criticize Yogi’s government, and referred to the killing of a Dalit village head in Azamgarh’s Basgaon, and alleged that the jungle raj of caste violence and rape, in Uttar Pradesh, is peaking. In his tweet, the Wayanad MP mentioned that another terrible incident occurred in UP, which saw Sarpanch Satyamev, a Dalit, who got killed for speaking no and sent his condolences to the deceased’s family. Belonging to a scheduled caste, Sarpanch Satyamev was shot dead last week, and the UP police have invoked the National Security Act against four people, who knew him.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra rips into
Yogi Adityanath’s government and UP Police, over women’s security issue:
Talking about the issue of
women’s security in a Facebook post was Priyanka
Gandhi Vadra, who
said that there is no fear of law in the minds of UP’s criminals. Priyanka
said,” Hapur, Bulandshahr, Lakhimpur Kheri, and now Gorakhpur. Such repeated incidents
have proven that the UP government has completely failed in providing security
to women.” Priyanka then urged Yogi’s government to review the law-and-order
system and ensure the safety of women. The Congress General Secretary then
alleged the police and administration of failing to take strict action against
the criminals or even provide ample security.
