In a video message, Rahul Gandhi shared his thoughts
on why did China choose to be aggressive and how Modi’s “indiscretions”
weakened India during the standoff.
On Friday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi issued a video message shared his thoughts on
the India-China Line of Actual Control (LAC) standoff and alleged that Prime
Minister Narendra Modi’s “indiscretions” have weakened India and left it vulnerable.
Rahul Gandhi alleges PM Modi’s
indiscretions the reason behind the Ladakh standoff:
Stepping up his attack on the centre over the border conflict, the Wayanad MP said that over the last six years, with regards to its foreign policy and economy, India has been disturbed and disrupted. Tweeting the video, Rahul Gandhi alleged that the PM’s constant blunders and indiscretions have fundamentally weakened India and left the country vulnerable. Gandhi also added in the tweet that empty words do not suffice in the world of geopolitics.
Important to look at the timing
of China’s aggression says, Rahul Gandhi:
In
the video, Rahul Gandhi highlighted people’s attention to the timing of China’s movement against India and what gave them the
confidence to violate the LAC to turn aggressive. Gandhi said,” Today, you have
a country which is economically in trouble; in trouble as far as foreign policy
is concerned; in trouble with its neighbors; and that’s why the Chinese have
decided that this is possibly the best time to act and that is why they have
acted. A country is protected by its foreign relationships, it is protected by
its neighborhood, by its economy, by the feeling that its people have and the
vision that its people have.”
Countries around India show
their angst, says Gandhi:
Rahul Gandhi also shed light on
India’s economical relations with other countries and stated that before India
used to work with neighboring countries but now as the nation is transacting
regularly with Russia and the US, countries around India have started to show
their anger towards India.
