Himachal Pradesh rain: The state has recorded the highest rainfall in 50 years. Govt has issued the alert in the state. 

As the hill state of Himachal Pradesh has been battered the worst by the monsoon, chief minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu encouraged people to stay indoors for the next 24 hours in a video message on Monday morning. 

In the aftermath of landslides, flash floods, and other devastation caused by the constant rain, the CM also released three helpline numbers -1100, 1070, and 1077.

Helpline msg for Himachal Pradesh rain:

The CM stated on Twitter, “I want to request that all residents of the state please stay home for the next 24 hours because very heavy rain is expected.” 

We’ve created three helplines: 1100, 1070, and 1077. You can dial these numbers to give information about anyone who is trapped in the disaster. I am accessible to assist you around the clock, and my phone will be answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”

He also asked all legislators to set up camps in their districts and assist all those in need.

“Please assist people during this disaster and ensure they are compensated for their losses.” The state administration is attempting to rescue those who have become stranded…So far, 14 people have been killed in the disaster, according to CM Sukhu.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red signal for heavy rains in the hill state for the next 48 hours on Sunday. The rain is also expected to produce flooding and landslides, according to the weather service.
