Rainfall forecast next five days for Gujarat Kutch Saurashtra
The rainy season has started, and several parts of Kutch and Saurashtra have experienced heavy rain, but the latest IMD forecast has predicted more heavy rain in Gujarat.
The southwest monsoon officially arrived in Kutch on Sunday, hitting the southern region as well as sections of the eastern belt, resulting in rain in 25 of the 33 districts. However, the state has already received over 12% of the entire annual rainfall.
According to the zone-wise rainfall data on 26 June 2022, the state had accumulated 106.08 mm of total average rainfall as of Monday morning, which accounts for 12.10% of the average monsoon rainfall of 877 mm.
Kutch received most rain in Gujarat:
The Kutch region has received the most rain this monsoon season, with 63.32% of the average and a total of 294 mm of rain. North Gujarat, which has received 150 mm of rain, is close behind.
The following are the average rainfall percentages finished in various regions: Kutch received 63.32%, Saurashtra received 18.48%, South Gujarat received 2.16%, North Gujarat received 20.63%, and East Central received 7.48%.
Heavy rain is likely in parts of north and south of Gujarat, and Saurashtra, and over the next 4 days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
