Rajasthan Man arrested for harassing Korean Vlogger

A man has been arrested by Jodhpur police on Monday for allegedly harassing a Korean vlogger in Rajasthan. As the video gets viral on Instagram, a man is seen following the girl while she is recording herself; later, the guy flashes his private body parts. Later the girl in the video can be seen shouting and running away from that man.

As soon as the video got viral on the internet, police took cognisance of the issue and took the accused into police custody. 

“A woman foreign tourist blogger had shared a post on her social media that a guy had sexually harassed her in Jodhpur,” Jodhpur East DCP Amrita Duhan said in a statement to news agency ANI. Using this information, we identified the man and apprehended him.” She also stated that the accused man’s medical examination would occur soon.

In response to the video, Delhi Commission for Women chief Swati Maliwal slammed the ‘disgusting’ incident and said she would write to Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot demanding harsh action.

She states in her post, “Just came across this clip of a Korean vlogger who posted a video of her being sexually harassed in Jodhpur. This is extremely disgusting and shameful. People like these are spoiling the image of our great country. I am writing to Shri@AshokGehlot51 to take the strongest action!”

It’s not the first time that tourists are getting harassed in India. Last December, two Mumbai Khar men were seen sexually harassing the South Korean Youtuber.

Anger erupted over a 60-second clip of the YouTuber, who was recording a live video on social media at the time, showing a man snatching her hand.

She later admitted that the police had been too hasty to react and that, despite the incident, she intended to return to India at some point.
