Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi’s Ramayana Look Exposed as AI Fake

Images allegedly showing Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita from Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film Ramayana went viral last weekend, sending fans into a frenzy. The highly detailed visuals depicted the two actors in elaborate royal costumes and ornate jewellery, with many posts claiming they were leaked set photos from the Ram-Sita wedding sequence.

How the Truth Unravelled

Doubts emerged quickly. Several users noted that the images were far too polished to be genuine leaked photos. When users submitted the images to AI chatbot Grok for analysis, it concluded they were face-swapped edits taken from the 2015 Star Plus television series Siya Ke Ram, not authentic production stills from the film.

The actual Ramayana film, produced on a massive scale with Oscar-winning studio Prime Focus handling visual effects, features Yash as Ravana, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. The first instalment is scheduled for a Diwali release. An official look-reveal event planned for March 26 at Mumbai’s Gateway of India has since been postponed amid global geopolitical tensions.
