The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) realized it would lose in Karnataka, so it plastered party president JP Nadda’s pictures everywhere instead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s, Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel stated on Saturday, as the vote count indicated the Congress would win the Karnataka assembly election in 2023.
CM Baghel said that the BJP had advocated for a “Congress-mukt Bharat” and that South India is now “BJP-mukt.”
“First, it was Himachal Pradesh, and now it is Karnataka.” Congress has gained triumph from the Himalayas to the oceans. “The BJP used to campaign for ‘Congress-mukt Bharat,’ but now south India is BJP-mukt,” CM Baghel told reporters.
Earlier in the day, Karnataka chief minister Basavaraj Bommai accepted defeat in the assembly election before the final results were announced. “We were unable to make an impact. The Congress has succeeded… We will conduct a thorough analysis once the results are available.
As a national party, we will analyze and look for inadequacies and holes at many levels. “We will take this result in stride,” Karnataka Chief Minister K. Chandrababu Naidu told reporters.
According to the senior Congress official, the approaching corruption and the ‘40% commission government’ in the state, along with the Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra, are the elements responsible for the Congress’ triumph.
“You can see who Bajrang Bali is standing with. “Bajrang Bali’s ‘gada’ turned corruption on its head, and the BJP was done,” he continued.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot stated that Karnataka has rejected ‘communal politics’ in the state and has chosen development politics. A similar trend will be repeated in the next Vidhan Sabha elections in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana.
