The daily coronavirus numbers have declined for the last few days with fresh 52,050 cases with 12,30,509 recoveries.

India on Tuesday reported fresh 52,050 COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours, which took the country’s coronavirus tally to 18,55,745. It has been six consecutive days since India’s tally breached the 50,000-mark, infections have continued to stay above the 50,000-mark but there is a continued decline in daily cases in those 6 days. The deaths in the country, however, remained high with new 803 causalities, taking the death toll to 38,938 in India.  

Recovery rate in India improves to 66.31%:

As per the latest data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of recovered patients in the country rose to 12,30,509 and the tally of active coronavirus cases in India increased to 5,86,298. The recoveries in the country got a major boost on Monday and the recovery rate of India improved to 66.31 percent. Another positive sign for India in the battle against the novel COVID-19 virus is the fatality rate, which has further dropped to 2.10 percent. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), India has crossed the two-crore mark in terms of testing numbers. 

Trump praises the USA and says that India is having a “tremendous problem” in combating coronavirus:

US President Donald Trump on Monday said that the US is doing very well in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, as compared to big countries. Trump also raised concern for India’s worsening COVID-19 situation and said that India is having a tremendous problem, combating the fatal disease. Trump also aimed a dig at India’s estranged neighbours and revealed that China is witnessing a massive flare-up in infections.

Global coronavirus tally has crossed 18.2 million with more than 692,000 deaths.
