The unprofessional Indian team’s poor team selection, Poor Bowling, Poor shot selection is the reason behind Whitewash in SouthAfrica. SA beats India in 3rd ODI thanks to allover good team performance.
No one from Team India led from the front. SA beats India in 3rd ODI and whitewashes India. Starting from Rahul, the entire Series for him was pathetic. He is a free-flowing batsman don’t know why he is playing a sheet anchor role in the team. He is as good as Rohit Sharma in hitting the ball but didn’t show any effort in the entire Series.
Virat Kohli is not as dominant and energetic:
Coming to the top batsman of India, Kohli. He scored good 2 fifties, but all in waste. This is different from Kohli. He is known for scoring high in run chases, but this time intent of Kohli was missing. Whenever he plays, you see different intent powerful energy which helps him win tough battles. Kohli is currently in the team who is scoring but not for the team.
Unpredictable Pant:
He plays mind-blowing inning, and on the second day he gets out rubbish. He lacks MATURITY in his batting. This young talent needed guidance. At the time he came in to crease in 3rd ODI, India was in control. His one rash shot gave away a wicket at the wrong time, which increased pressure on other batters.
Poor Team Selection in entire Series:
In ODI, one big issue was team selection. Deepak Chahar got a chance. He showed his talent. Suryakumar Yadav got the opportunity he shows his skills. The problem is Shreyas Iyer batting. Shreyas is getting enough chances. If he is not delivering, he should not be on the team.
India should prepare a good team for the ODI WorldCup in India. Shardul is a good player but only up to tests that too in the abroad Series. Way Deepak Chahar batted India should invest more him than Shardul Thakur. Today we show Jayant in the team. Then in the first two ODI’s, we show Venkatesh Iyer, Who didn’t bowl even ten overs in 2 matches. Team selection is poor or, say, worst.
Indian bowling standard going down:
No other Bowler than Bumrah is showing any spark which can hold opponents in middle overs. Indian team providing too many runs in middle overs. Chahal’s poor form, Ashwin wicketless in Series was also an issue for India. Bumrah’s poor form in ODI’s is also hurting India badly.
The only good or say positive from this Series was Dhawan batting and some amount of batting from Kohli and Pant. India gave away the Series to the young South African team. SA would have lost ODI series 1st and this one. 2nd ODI SA outplayed India, but in 1st and 3rd, India was in front but losing from that point shows India missing that spark.
