Amid talks of reconciliation estranged Congress leader Sachin Pilot met Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra at Rahul’s residence.

On Monday, ex-Rajasthan Congress Chief, Sachin Pilot met Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in New Delhi. The meeting comes days ahead of the Rajasthan Assembly session, where chief minister Ashok Gehlot is slated to seek a trust of the vote. Meeting the Congress General Secretary and the former Congress chief has fueled speculation of them being in talks of reconciliation.

Gandhis ask Sachin Pilot to favor Congress in case of a trust vote in Rajasthan:

Sources close to the top Congress brass revealed that the meeting which took place at Rahul Gandhi’s residence yielded a positive outcome and went on for a couple of hours. Gandhis assured the Pilot camp that all issues raised by them in Rajasthan will be resolved, add sources. Further, the Gandhis expect Sachin Pilot and his 18 loyal MLAs to favor the Congress in case of a trust vote during the upcoming Rajasthan assembly polls.

Ashok Gehlot ready to welcome back rebel Congress MLAs:

Party sources have also said that Sachin Pilot has been in touch with the top Congress leaders and his return was being worked out. Recently, Pilot’s nemesis Ashok Gehlot said that he would welcome back the rebel Congress MLAs if the party leadership forgives them. Gehlot on Sunday addressed a Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meeting at a resort in Jaisalmer, and said,” We are all democracy warriors. We are going to win this war and also win the assembly election after three-and-a-half years. The unity which you have shown till now, the same unity you have to show in the house.”
