Sachin Tendulkar praises Taapse Pannu’s Shabaash Mithu trailer; watch trailer
Sachin Tendulkar has lauded the trailer for Taapsee Pannu’s Shabaash Mithu. The movie is a biopic of Mithali Raj, the former Indian women’s cricket captain.
The trailer for Mithali Raj’s biopic Shabaash Mithu was released on Monday. Taapsee Pannu plays the main in the film, which follows the rise of an Indian cricketer. Fans and film industry members have expressed their admiration and praise for the trailer. The cricketing community has now taken notice. On Monday, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar praised the trailer on social media.
On Monday, former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly shared the film’s trailer on Twitter. Sachin wrote in response to his former captain also teammate’s tweet, “The #ShabaashMithuTrailer is uplifting. Mithali has inspired millions to dream and pursue their dreams, also I am excited to see this film. Best wishes to everyone on the team.”
Sachin is widely regarded as one of the greatest cricketers of all time. Throughout his 24-year career, he established numerous new batting records in international cricket, the majority of which are still in place nine years after his retirement. In addition, he was award the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honor.
Mithali, like Sachin, has been a world-class cricketer for over two decades.
In a career that start in 1999, the former Indian captain is regard as India’s most outstanding female cricketer, also she set several new international records. However, Mithali announced her retirement from international cricket earlier this month.
Shabash Mithu, directed by Srijit Mukherji, stars Taapsee as Mithali, the cricketer who redefined the game in India also globally. On July 15, the movie will be release.
Taapsee had previously stated, as quoted by news agency ANI, that she admired Mithali “There are cricketers with records to their names. Some cricketers have a large fan base. Some cricketers can inspire you and make you believe that if they can do it, so can you! And then there’s Mithali, who did it all in her classic, graceful style during also changing the game of cricket in terms of women’s presence.”
