Shah Rukh Khan Denies Role in Release of Navy Veterans

Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan has firmly refuted claims suggesting his involvement in securing the release of eight Indian Navy veterans in Qatar.

A statement from Khan’s office emphasized that the successful resolution was solely orchestrated by the Indian government officials.

Addressing the assertions made by BJP leader Subramanian Swamy, who suggested Khan’s intervention led to a settlement for the veterans’ release, the actor’s team clarified that such claims were unfounded.

They underscored that Khan had no part in the matter and expressed gratitude that the naval officers were safely reunited with their families.

The statement highlighted that matters concerning diplomacy and statecraft are best handled by competent leaders, reaffirming Khan’s stance of non-involvement.

Khan, like many fellow Indians, rejoiced in the safe return of the naval officers and extended his best wishes to them.

Khan’s recent visit to Doha coincided with the AFC final, where he attended as a special guest.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Qatar aims to bolster bilateral ties between the two nations.

Following their release, one of the Navy veterans, expressing gratitude towards PM Modi, credited his personal intervention and diplomatic efforts for their return to India.

The Ministry of External Affairs also welcomed the release, acknowledging the Amir of Qatar’s decision to facilitate the homecoming of the detained nationals.
