Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Seoul’s equity markets saw positive trading activity elsewhere in Asia.

On Friday, US markets ended sharply higher.

On Friday, the Sensex fell 452.90 points, or 0.75 per cent, to close at 59,900.37. To finish at 17,859.45, the Nifty lost 132.70 points or 0.74 per cent.

Brent crude, the international standard for crude oil, increased by 1.06 per cent to USD 79.40 per barrel.

According to exchange data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares on Friday for a total of 2,902.46 crores.
