100 Gujaratis out of 2000 people hiding in bunkers
Nothing can be cooked, even a 3-4 day meal arrangement
“Currently, we are not allowed out of the house; there are blasts all around. It’s too scary. The border is only a few kilometers away from here. Army helicopters take off at night. Due to the cold and darkness, who owns the aircraft is unknown. Some tanks also come out of the roads here. The altitude of the helicopter is very low, and people are scared. There is only one bunker to stay in. My mind knows why I spent these 24 hours, spent the night sleeping on top of each other, filling my stomach with chips and biscuits. The list is with Divya Bhaskar. Among the 2000 people hiding in the bunkers are 100 Gujaratis.
Long lines of Indians lined up
After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, many Indian nationals and students who had gone to study in Ukraine were stranded in the country as citizens of other countries who had gone to Ukraine were returning to their homeland. Students from Gujarat, including Rajkot, Gondal, Vadodara, are also trapped there. On the other hand, there is a rush to buy in Ukraine, besides long lines of Indians outside the Indian Embassy. A similar student from Rajkot who was trapped in Ukraine conversed with Divya Bhaskar and described the situation.
People are now in the bunkers of houses and the underground.
“The situation here is dire; most of the people in the city are now in their bunkers and underground,” said Harsh Soni, a student originally from Rajkot who was trapped in Ukraine. Who has vacated the hostel. All of these have only 3-4 day meal arrangements. But nothing can be cooked; these people fill their stomachs by drinking chips, biscuits, and water. It is dark everywhere, there is no electricity, and the sound of blasts is coming from time to time.
Bomb blasts are taking place in Ukraine, where Gujarati students live
The situation here is so bad that
Indian students now have no place but these bunkers. Russia has also occupied the airport, and the Indian embassy cannot be contacted. They are trying to show that the situation is under control. But the truth is that the problem here is terrible.
A convoy of Russian helicopters was spotted.
