A suicide bomber rammed a motorcycle into a police truck, and nine policemen were killed, and several got injured in this incident in southwestern Pakistan, as per the sources.
According to Reuters, the attack occurred in Sibbi, a city about 160 kilometres east of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province; a police spoke person stated.
According to Kachhi Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mahmood Notezai, bomb squads and security personnel have arrived at the scene. At the same time, the injured are being brought to a local hospital, according to Dawn.
According to AFP, he claimed that the cops were coming back from a week-long cattle show where they had been serving as security. As of yet, no one organisation has taken ownership of the assault.
Since the 1970s, ethnic Baloch rebels have been at war with the government, accusing it of plundering Balochistan’s abundant gas and mineral resources.
The Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo, condemned the attack and sent his condolences to the victims’ families.
