Balochistan suicide blast: a shocking blast occurred in Pakistan’s Balochistan, in which 52 individuals died, and around 50 were injured.

According to Pakistan-based Dawn, at least 52 people were killed, including a cop, and more than 50 were injured in a suicide bomb attack on a religious gathering near a mosque in Balochistan’s Mastung district on Friday.

No terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the bomb, which occurred amid an increase in attacks by militant groups, making it difficult for security forces ahead of national elections scheduled for January of next year.

A mosque collapsed on Friday:

Several photographs and videos of bloodied corpses and mutilated limbs were uploaded on social media while authorities examined the damage.

Geo News said a mosque collapsed on Friday in Pakistan’s Peshawar, trapping 30 to 40 people beneath the wreckage.

Two individuals were murdered in yet another blast on Friday at a mosque in the country’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Here’s all about the Balochistan suicide blast:

The explosion targeted a religious gathering commemorating Prophet Mohammed’s birthday, a national holiday in Pakistan.

The attack occurred as people assembled for the Eid-i-Miladun Nabi procession near Madina Masjid on Alfalah Road.

According to Mastung Deputy Commissioner Abdul Razzaq Sasoli, “a procession of hundreds of people came out of the Madina mosque, and as it reached Al Falah road, a suicide bomber targeted it.”

Deputy Inspector on the situation:

According to Deputy Inspector General of Police Munir Ahmed, “The bomber detonated himself near the vehicle of the Deputy Superintendent of Police.”

According to Mastung Assistant Commissioner (AC) Attahul Munim, the attack occurred near the car of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Nawaz Gishkori, who was stationed on the procession’s sidelines, Dawn said.

Interim Balochistan Chief Minister Ali Mardan Domki has declared three days of mourning across the province of Balochistan.

The province’s temporary communications minister, Jan Achakzai, said the grieving was held to show solidarity with the victims’ relatives.

He said, “National flags will remain at half-mast on government buildings during the three days of mourning.”

The investigation has been launched:

According to Achakzai, an emergency has been declared in all hospitals. “With foreign blessings, the enemy wants to destroy religious tolerance and peace in Balochistan,” he stated. “The explosion is excruciating.”

Interim CM Domki condemned the act, launched an investigation, and requested a report immediately. “The perpetrators of the destruction do not deserve any leniency,” he stated.

Those who target peaceful processions will face harsh consequences.” He said that people should band together to fight terrorism and that “those who commit such heinous acts cannot be called Muslims.”

Pakistan’s Punjab police claimed on X, that its “diligent officials” will provide security for Friday prayers at mosques across Balochistan.
