Vijay Breaks Down Comforting Jiiva at Producer RB Choudary’s Funeral

Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam chief and actor Vijay was among the prominent figures who gathered at the residence of veteran film producer RB Choudary on Wednesday to pay his final respects. The emotional visit saw Vijay visibly overcome with grief as he bid farewell to the celebrated producer, who passed away at the age of 76.

A Tragic and Sudden Loss

RB Choudary met with a fatal road accident near Joontha village in the Bewar district of Rajasthan on Tuesday. He was returning with his nephew from a relative’s wedding in Lilamba village when cattle strayed onto the road, causing their vehicle to lose control and crash into a roadside wall. The impact was fatal, and the veteran producer died on the spot. His funeral was held in Chennai on May 6, drawing members of both the film fraternity and political circles.

Vijay’s Emotional Farewell

Videos circulating online captured Vijay arriving at the residence looking deeply emotional. He placed a large garland on the glass casket and leaned over it, visibly struggling to compose himself. The most moving moment came when he embraced Jiiva, RB Choudary’s son, who was inconsolable with grief. Vijay held him close and tried his best to offer comfort, while himself fighting back tears.

Several other leading stars were present to offer condolences, including Mammootty, Dhanush, Suriya Shivakumar, Chiyaan Vikram, and Siddarth. Vijay’s father, filmmaker SA Chandrasekhar, also visited earlier in the day to pay his respects to the legendary producer.
