Even though February is still here and winter hasn’t fully left, Ahmedabad is already feeling the heat. The usual morning chill has faded, and afternoons are turning hotter by the day. Experts blame climate change, and the Meteorological Department has now issued a yellow alert till February 28.

According to forecast, the temperature may touch 38°C in some parts of the state. This unseasonal heat has become a talking point among people, who are worried about how hot the coming summer months will be if February feels like this.

In Ahmedabad, the maximum temperature recorded on Tuesday was 34.2°C – 1.9°C above normal – while the minimum stood at 20.4°C, which was 3.9°C above the usual. The forecast suggests a further rise, with the maximum expected slated to touch 35°C and the minimum at 21°C on Shivratri.
