Tanishaa Mukerji, Kajol’s sister, tests positive for COVID-19

Tanishaa Mukerji, Kajol Mukerji’s sister, is the latest celebrity to test positive for COVID-19 after theatres reopened in Maharashtra.

Tanisha took to social media to inform her fans about her health, writing, “Hey everyone, I’ve been detected COVID positive and will be isolating as needed.

Tanishaa is one of many celebrities who returned to work amid the pandemic. Earlier this year, while filming in Lucknow, she told BT, “It’s a bad situation for the film industry.” Every time you go on set, you are taking a risk. However, you can reduce the risk to a certain level and protect yourself in your environment.

It would help if you thought of a lot more things. Before entering the set, you must put on your mask, remove it before the shot, and then sanitize after each shot. We used to be so careless about our coffee, water bottles, and where we sat on set, but now we have to be so careful.”

“At the same time, we can’t live in fear; I don’t believe in that,” she added. But I believe in being extremely cautious. But it hasn’t harmed my craft. I am my character when I am in front of the camera. The majority of actors are like this. We are creative people, so when you are in front of the camera, you are disconnecting from reality and immersing yourself in the imaginary world that cinema creates for you. So then I’m not Tanishaa; I’m the character.”

Tanishaa made her Bollywood debut in 2003 with ‘Sssshhh…’ and has since appeared in several films, including Uday Chopra’s ‘Neal n Nikki,’ ‘Sarkar,’ ‘Sarkar Raaj,’ and many more.

She is currently preparing for her Bollywood comeback with the upcoming film ‘Code Name Abdul,’ where she will play the lead role of a RAW agent. In addition to her, Akku Kulhari appears in the movie. Eshwar Gunturu will direct the film, which will be released on December 10, 2021.
