The well-known TV actor, Sameer Sharma featured in
top shows like Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon – Ek Baar
Phir, Left Right Left, Jyoti was found dead in his Malad home.
On late Wednesday night, TV
actor Sameer Sharma was found dead in his house in Mumbai. Living
in suburban Malad apartment, the watchman of his society building found Sameer
Sharma’s body. As per a Mid-day report, no suicide note was recovered from the spot; Sameer
Sharma was 44 years old and was last seen in Yeh Rishtey
Hai Pyaar Ke. Senior
inspector George Fernandez of Malad police station said that a case of
accidental death had been registered and the body was sent for autopsy.
Sameer Sharma was not shooting
post-lockdown:
Sameer Sharma was known for his roles in popular TV daily-soaps like Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Left Right Left, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon -Ek Baar Phir, Jyoti, etc. In 2017, the actor had to face a major health crisis and for almost a year, was on a sabbatical. Recently, he made a comeback and played an important role of Shaurya, Akshara’s brother in Star Plus’ Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke. Post lockdown, when the TV show’s shooting began, the storyline focused on other characters and so, Sameer did not shoot in the Shaheer Sheikh-Rhea Sharma starrer.

shockwaves throughout the film and TV industry, with many colleagues and actors
mourning his loss. Esha Gupta on Twitter expressed her condolences and wrote
how shocked she was. Nushrratt Bharuccha too mourned the devastating news on her
Twitter. Vatsal Sheth on his social media, wrote that he and Sameer
used to chat on many things and that Sameer’s sudden passing has left him
heartbroken. Pritam Singh, Gautam Rode, Kritika Kamra, and Sapna Bhavnani also
sent their condolences, among the other celebrities.
