The Kashmir Files Box Office Day 1: Let us start with some good news. Theatres are back in action, with four films in the running, spanning multiple genres. If The Kashmir Files is a realistic story, Radhe Shyam is a work of fiction. If Gangubai Kathiawadi is about a real-life superhero, Batman is a fictional superhero. As a result, audiences have many options, which is reflected in the footfall generated across theatres.

The Kashmir Files is the film that has piqued everyone’s interest all of a sudden. It was predicted that the film would gross between Rs. 1.50 also Rs. 2 crores at the box office.

Even that would have been a good start, given that Vivek Agnihotri’s previous film in this series, The Tashkent Files, debuted at Rs. 0.40 crores. However, the film has pleasantly surprised, grossing Rs. 3.55 crores. The film, released on a limited number of screens, received praise from all quarters also is expected to do well today and tomorrow.

The same cannot be said for Radhe Shyam, which struggled even on its first release day.
