The Paradise Becomes Nani’s Highest Grosser With Rs 138 Crore

Nani’s period action thriller The Paradise has collected Rs 138.25 crore worldwide in just four days, making it the highest-grossing film of the actor’s career. The Paradise box office collection is now heading towards the Rs 150 crore mark, even though the film has received largely negative reviews from both audiences and critics. The steady run shows the strength of Nani’s fan following, particularly in the Telugu-speaking markets.

A Steep Drop After a Strong Start

The film opened at Rs 34.65 crore but witnessed a sharp 60 per cent fall on its second day. It has since stabilised, earning Rs 14.9 crore on Friday, Rs 15.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 15.07 crore on Sunday across 6,764 shows. Hyderabad recorded the highest occupancy at 61.8 per cent, reflecting the film’s strong pull in its home territory.

Overtakes HIT: The Third Case

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film’s India gross collection stands at Rs 109 crore, with net collections of Rs 92.1 crore. Overseas markets have added Rs 29.25 crore, taking the worldwide gross to Rs 138.25 crore. The film crossed the Rs 100 crore mark within three days of its release. It has also surpassed the lifetime collection of Nani’s previous film, HIT: The Third Case, which earned around Rs 120 crore globally during its entire theatrical run.

Despite the poor reviews, Nani has expressed gratitude for the audience’s support. However, the road ahead may get tougher, as The Vvaan, Hanuman Ansh and Mirzapur: The Movie are competing for screens and viewers. Whether The Paradise can hold its ground and cross the Rs 150 crore milestone will depend largely on its weekday performance and word of mouth in the coming days.
