As Government stated during Wednesday evening statement:

Rawat instructed the Uttarakhand Sheep and Wool Production Board to initiate a high-level investigation in the context of a complaint concerning financial irregularities in the purchasing of sheep and goat fodder in the districts of Uttarkashi & Pithoragarh.

“As per the orders of the Chief Minister, an investigation committee has also been appointed by chief secretary Om Prakash below the chairmanship of Commissioner of agricultural production as well as additional secretary of finance,” the Government informed in a statement just on Wednesday evening. Officials were ordered by the chief secretary to send the inquiry report within 15 days.

Maneka Gandhi in her Letter to CM:

“The letter stated, “He bought luxury cars over 13 lakhs per vehicle. With disproportionate properties, he bought residences in Noida. He uses district budget plans to buy fodder from Punjab twice the price without having any authority to do that and above the Uttarakhand government’s prescribed prices.

He took many officers on the Sheep Board’s deputation without establishing any posts, forcing district veterinary clinics to shut down. Such officers do not have a career but get pay. After monetary satisfaction, this was done…

She requested that the program should be immediately halted and that necessary measures should be taken. “This is tantamount to the coal scandals, Bofors, etc.”

In response to the accusations, Anand said, “I am compiling a reply to be submitted to the department’s secretary and other senior officials of the state government.” Whatever money was spent was done in compliance with all procedures.
