Triumph Motorcycles launched the latest Rocket 3 GT power cruiser on the Indian market on Thursday starting at approximately 18.40 lakh. 

It costs about ₹40,000 more than the standard Rocket 3 motorcycle priced at about ₹18.00 Lakh.

Rocket 3 GT and Rocket 3:

The brand new Rocket 3 GT is a touring-focused edition of the Rocket 3 standard motorcycle already on sale in the Indian market.

 This is almost similar to the Rocket 3 in terms of construction. Two colour choices-Phantom Black and Silver Ice / Storm Grey and -will be available.

Features in Rocket 3 GT:

It gets a range of additional features as compared to the standard model, which makes it a more comfortable and touring friendly motorcycle. 

As seen on standard cruisers, it comes with more forward-set footpegs. It also uses handlebars in the touring style to provide protection for the riders.

 It also benefits from a higher windscreen, adjustable footrests for pillions, a pillion backrest as standard, and heated grips.

More than 50 new accessories have been provided, which include a range of luggage and several bits which enhance convenience and comfort.

 The ‘Highway’ is named the new Inspiration Package.

Some of the Rocket 3 GT’s main electronics aids include a Bluetooth-enabled full-colour TFT dash with GoPro controls, ABS cornering, and traction control system hill-hold control, four ride modes.

The new Rocket 3 GT receives a 2.500 cc, three-cylinder inline, liquid-cooled powertrain that comes matched to a 6-speed transmission. The engine is tuned to produce 167 PS and 221 Nm of torque.

Speaking at the launch, Shoeb Farooq, Business Head of Triumph Motorcycles India said, “The Rocket 3 GT is the machine of an enthusiast, a perfect combination of class-defining technology, Road presence ruling, impressive performance, and ergonomics. 

It is a legend in its own right. The Rocket 3 GT completes the Rocket set that has the models for the roadster and touring.

Rivals of Rocket 3

Some Rocket 3 series rivals include the Ducati Diavel 1260 and Harley-Davidson Fat Boy.
