A small girl saved her little brother in Turkey earthquake; videos get viral

Authorities claimed that the death toll had reached around 7,700, which may rise amid the rescue operation in Turkey earthquake, Syria.

In between such chaos, a video of a 7-year-old girl protecting from under the rubble is becoming popular over the Internet.

The girl and her brother were stuck under the broken wall of a collapsed building for a long time before they were rescued.

United Nations representative Mohamad Safa shared a picture of siblings and Tweeted, The 7-year-old girl who held her hand on her small brother’s head to guard him while they were beneath the rubble for 17 hours has made it safely. I notice no one sharing. If she were dead, everyone would share! Share positivity…

As clips of the moment before their rescue popped up online, they were both praised for their bravery, while the girl was regarded as a hero for keeping her determination and strength in the face of the incident.

According to the news agency AP, a newborn baby and a toddler were rescued from a war-torn Syrian town.

The 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck southeast Turkey and northern Syria early Monday, followed by further quakes and various aftershocks, has displaced thousands, prompting leaders worldwide to respond with humanitarian aid.

In war-torn Syria, already devastated by 12 years of conflict, a key issue complicating aid distribution is “the war and also the way the aid response is split between rebel areas and Damascus,” according to the Associated Press, citing Aron Lund, a Syria researcher at the New York-based think tank Century International.
