Vijay Deverakonda responded after the hashtag #BoycottLigerMovie began trending on Twitter. So far, the boycott has impacted the box office performance of Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan.
Vijay Deverakonda, an actor, has reacted to the recent social media trend of boycotting several Bollywood films. In a recent interview, Vijay said, “kaun rokenge dekh lenge (we will see who will stop us)” when asked if the trend would affect his upcoming film Liger. ‘#BoycottLigerMovie’ began trending on Twitter days before the film’s release.
Vijay also stated that it is unfortunate that films and actors must bear the brunt of the criticism. He has also said that he is sure that people will like him and Liger because they worked so hard to make the film. The actor also discussed his personal struggles and professional obstacles and how he overcame them.
According to the news, Vijay told Liger on Monday, “With Liger, we expected a bit of drama…but we’ll fight.”

Vijay commented on his difficulties, saying, “Life, I believe, has taught me to be a fighter. I had to fight for respect also money when I was younger…later, I had to fight for my place in the industry also even get work. Liger, a sports drama, will be released in theatres on August 25. Vijay makes his Hindi film debut, and Ananya makes her first multi-lingual appearance. Jagannadh, Charmme Kaur, Karan Johar, and Apoorva Mehta are the producers.
