WhatsApp introduces new security features for consumers in India

The flash call and message rate reporting features give users more security and control over the use of the messaging app. The instant messaging platform Meta WhatsApp has introduced two new security features. Flash Calls and Message Rate Reporting, for users in India.

The flash call and message rate reporting features give users more security and control over the use of the messaging app. Flash Calling allows new Android users or switch devices frequently to confirm. Their phone numbers by automatically calling them instead of texting them.

Regarding to WhatsApp, this is a much safer option because the app does everything.

The message level reporting feature enables users to report specific messages received on WhatsApp. This can be done simply by pressing and holding certain news to report or block the user. In addition, WhatsApp also introduced the ability to allow users to hide their profile picture, recent views, and more from certain people. The ability to block someone who might be annoying, and two-step verification (2FA).

Meanwhile, WhatsApp has released update 2.21.24.8 for Android users in the beta channel. Which indicates that the company is working on message reply notifications for its Android app.

WhatsApp has been developing a message response function for several months. Which, as the name suggests, allows users to react to messages in the same way they would to posts also comments on the Facebook app.

WhatsApp last had no plans to notify users of message reactions. Still, the company then started developing a beta version of its iOS app and is now working on bringing the same functionality to Android users.
