Yami on ho she bagged Vicky Donor:
Yami had spoken at the India Today Conclave South 2018 regarding how she had bagged Vicky Donor. That was a stage when I was in full bloom auditioning.
I also had the chance of a very conventional launch at that point in time. I was totally on my own; my stepping stone was every job I did. Nobody was there to back me up,’ she said.
Yami’s parent’s reaction after reading the script:
Only after she was finalized for it did Yami find out about the subject of Vicky Donor. She disclosed that they had a very positive response when she told her parents about the film and its subject matter.
She said, “I asked the casting director when I auditioned for Vicky Donor, “What is the movie about? And she was clearly laughing. When the movie came to me, that’s when I found out.
I must have told my parents. My dad asked me what the movie was about, and I just gave him the script. They replied, “This is so cool,” when my parents heard it.
Vickey Doner a success at the box office:
A runaway success at the box office was Vicky Donor. Since then, Yami has starred in a variety of famous movies, including, Kaabil, Uri: The Surgical Attack, Badlapur as well as Bala. She was most recently seen opposite Vikrant Massey in the Netflix film Ginny Weds Sunny.
