Punjabi woman commits suicide in New York after recording a video accusing her husband and in-laws of domestic violence.

Mandeep Kaur, 30, has been torture in several videos that have gone viral, in which her husband can be seen hitting and attempting to strangle her while their two young daughters, ages 4 and 6, can be heard sobbing.

A Punjabi woman living in New York is said to have committing suicide on Wednesday night. After making a video accusing her husband of domestic abuse also blaming his parents for her predicament.

Mandeep Kaur, 30, is heard in the video saying, “Today I’m choosing suicide; I’m in a very pitiful condition. I gave it my all for 8 years, but I can no longer endure a daily beating.

I’ve been getting daily beatings from him for eight years while putting up with his bad behavior in the hopes that he will change someday.

She stated, “I don’t want to leave my two daughters behind. But now I could not tolerate this torture anymore and am taking this extreme step,” adding that her husband had several extramarital affairs for some time after their marriage. “After witnessing the abuse I was subject to, even my father had him (the woman’s husband) place under arrest. He begged, then got away, she said. The woman added that her husband continued living with other women while beating her and kidnapping her for five days.

The woman added that she was force to leave her children also that her mother-in-law had disparaging remarks about her family, which had caused her husband to torture her.

The man is seen assaulting also attempting to strangle the woman in several videos. That have gone viral on Twitter, while their two young daughters, ages 4 and 2, can be heard sobbing. In addition, in one video, her husband Ranjodhveer Singh Sandhu verbally abuses her and states that he prefers a son to a daughter.

Satnam Singh Chahal, the North American Punjabi Association’s (NAPA) director based in the US, expressed sadness to The Indian Express upon learning of Mandeep Kaur’s passing. “However, I want to emphasise that she was not the only Punjabi woman to experience domestic abuse in the US. Many people are affect, but they remain silent out of “honour,” according to Chahal.
