During Day 1 of the IPL auction, Indian uncapped cricketers Shahrukh Khan and Rahul Tripathi were picked up more than 20 times.

On Saturday, Indian uncapped cricketers Shahrukh Khan and Rahul Tripathi were picked up for more than 20 times their base price. During the first day of the Indian Premier League 2022 (IPL 2022) mega auction Bengaluru. Shahrukh Khan is a Tamil Nadu cricketer who spent last season with the Punjab Kings. So far, the 26-year-old right-handed batter has played five first-class matches and scored 231 runs at a strike rate of 33. He has 2 fifties to his name, and his highest score is an unbeaten 92.

Shahrukh played 11 matches in the IPL 2021 season, his only season in the league. And scored 153 runs at an of 21.9. His highest possible score was 47. In contrast, SunRisers Hyderabad paid INR 8.50 crore for right-handed top-order batter Tripathi, who had a base price of INR 40 lakh.

Both Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) competed with SRH for Tripathi’s services, with the Hyderabad-based franchise emerging victorious.

Last season, Tripathi was instrumental in KKR’s run to the IPL final.

Meanwhile, Gujarat Giants (GT) signed Indian batter Abhinav Manohar Sadarangani for INR 2.6 crore. While SRH signed Priyam Garg for INR 20 lakh. At the auction, Batter Rajat Patidar went unsold.

Rajasthan Royals signed Indian leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal for INR 6.5 crore. While Delhi Capitals signed Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav for INR 2 crore. Punjab Kings acquired rahul Chahar for INR 5.25 crore. Amit Mishra, an India spinner, went unsold in the auction.

The Delhi Capitals (DC) selected Indian all-rounder Shardul Thakur for INR 10.75 crore. While Bangladesh Pacer Mustafizur Rahman was selected for INR 2 crore.

SRH paid INR 4.2 crore for Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar and INR 4 crore for T Natarajan.
