Priyadarshan Exits Hera Pheri 3 Over Producer Disrespect and Legal Feuds

The highly anticipated comedy sequel Hera Pheri 3 has hit a major roadblock. Director Priyadarshan has officially broken his silence regarding his abrupt exit from the project. Despite the film’s grand announcement in early 2025, producer Firoz A. Nadiadwallah recently confirmed that the veteran filmmaker is no longer a part of the venture. Priyadarshan revealed that a toxic mix of repeated personal insults and deeply tangled copyright issues prompted his definitive departure.

A History of Disrespect and Strained Bonds

In a candid interview, Priyadarshan alleged that Nadiadwallah had repeatedly undermined his work over the years. The director claimed the producer openly insulted his original cut of the first Hera Pheri, calling it a “poor man’s version” and boasting about editing it down. According to Priyadarshan, Nadiadwallah even went as far as requesting lead actor Akshay Kumar never to collaborate with him on the third installment. The filmmaker noted that he had only agreed to return because the iconic lead trio—Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal—personally requested his involvement to revive the legendary franchise.
