Former US President Barack Obama found MP Rahul Gandhi of Congress “willing to impress” but lacking “the skill or the passion” to mastering the subject.

As per the New York Times analysis:

The former President writes approvingly in his highly awaited memoir of his years in the office about Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who was Obama’s first state guest at the White House, and former congressman Sonia Gandhi.

From the study, which listed it among gossipy information that Obama put in the book regarding leaders he met and communicated with during the eight years of his presidency, 2009 to 2017, the context of this observation could not be determined.

Obama about Manmohan Singh:

The former President seemed to write about Sonia Gandhi glowingly, but in the study, there were no direct quotes from the novel. Obama wrote about Singh: “Security Secretary Bob Gates, as well as Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh both, seem to have some form of impassive honesty.”
