The upcoming Redmi Note 11T is expected to be compatible with India’s 5G network when the next-generation connectivity standard arrives. Xiaomi announced partnering with Reliance Jio to test the phone’s 5G capabilities and performance without revealing intricate details.

“Both companies carried out standalone laboratory tests for 5G and tested the devices in various scenarios to ensure a better 5G end-user experience,” Xiaomi said in a statement. “Redmi Note 11T 5G has been used for rigorous laboratory testing. Which has shown excellent results thanks to its high download speed,” the company added.

All Xiaomi is currently revealing that the Redmi Note 11T 5G model, to be launch in India, will support seven bands (SA N1, N3, N5, N8, N28, N40, N78, and NSA N1, N3, N40, N78). .

That’s two more than its predecessor Redmi Note 10T.

Xiaomi isn’t the only company that recently partnered with Jio to test its 5G-capable smartphones. A similar test of a 5G standalone network (SA) was conduct by Oppo on a Reno 6 series phone in early July – no details have been released either. The Reno 6 Pro supports 11 bands of 5G, while the Reno 6 supports 13 rounds of 5G in India.

The Redmi Note 11T 5G launch in India is schedule for November 30. The phone is slat to be rebrand as Redmi Note 11 5G for the Indian market and compete with the Realme 8S 5G. Which comes with a similar MediaTek Dimensity 810 chip system and support for five 5G bands.
